Virtual Workshops Up and Running
We are happy to announce that our social media accounts are full of amazing videos on planting and cooking tips. Check out our Garden Leadership Team videos by clicking the Instagram links below or visiting our Facebook or Instagram pages. We have clips on how to make pickles, container gardening, and composting - more will be posted each week. Stay tuned!
New Recipe Blog!
Check out our new recipe blog featuring a different vegetable or food item each week. We are focusing on making your food last longer in this season and want to help you use your groceries in creative ways. Click here to see how you can use a cabbage or carrot in many different ways.
Still want a spot?
Our plots are now all rented. BUT you can add your name to the waitlist. Click here to download a waitlist application and turn it in to our office.
Community Compost Bin Temporarily Closed
Our compost bin is currently closed for community drop-offs in alignment with city protocols to keep a safe physical distance. While viruses cannot live in compost, we are erring on the safe side since the building in closed and we cannot clean the orange bin or handle regularly. You can keep saving your scraps at home in the freezer and we will let you know when we are back up and running.
We're glad you're here!
Monrovia Community Garden is a partnership between the City of Monrovia and Mountainside Communion at 303 West Colorado. We are excited to be the first community garden in the city open to residents and MUSD families. All are welcome to visit the open public garden on the corner of Magnolia and Colorado as well as attend one of our classes. Please park in the church parking lot, the alley to the west of the building, or next to the dumpster. Behind the fences and fruit trees are the plotholders spaces. Applications for these spaces open annually. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
