Ingredients

Air dry clay (any color, I used Crayola brand)
Beans
Seeds
Rolling pin
Cookie cutter or other tools for creating shapes
Acrylic Seal Spray (I used Mod Podge)
Ingredient Notes
There are different brands of air dry clay that you can use, and there’s even recipes for creating your own homemade clay online!
You can buy a variety of beans and seeds of different shapes, sizes and colors for variety.
Instructions
Roll out the clay with a rolling pin. The clay should be about 1/4 inch thick. This thickness helps to make sure that the clay doesn’t crack as it dries as it might crack if it's too thin.
Use a cookie cutter or at-home shaping supply (bowl or plate) to cut out your shape (circle, butterfly, leaf). You may also combine shapes if you do not have a cookie cutter for a specific shape.
Transfer the mosaic onto a paper plate, newspaper or other similar surface.
Time to decorate! Push the beans and seeds down into the clay – make sure they’re pushed securely down in there or they’ll pop out when the clay dries.
Set your mosaics aside and let the clay for 2-3 days depending on clay instructions. Once dry, spray your mosaics with an acrylic sealer. Seal the front, back and sides. (Tip: spray the sealer outside!).
Once your mosaics are dried and sealed, bring them out to your garden!
