Foraged Fire Starters

Supplies:

  • Double boiler

  • Bees wax or soy flakes

  • Wicks

  • Silicone muffin molds 

  • Foraged nature finds (such as small pine cones, berries, rosemary sprigs, sliced dried oranges, dried wild flowers, fresh cranberries, etc.) 

  • Essential oils (optional)

  • Twine for decorating (optional)

Directions:

  • Melt wax in a double boiler.

  • Pour the melted wax into muffin molds.

  • When wax cools a little and becomes slightly firm, add a wick and your foraged finds. 

  • Add a few drops of essential oil for added fragrance (optional!).

  • When completely firm, pop the starters out of the muffin molds.

To gift

  • Decorate with a twine bow tag for gifting.

To use:

  • These fire starters can be used indoors or outdoors.
